He progressed to hot rods, BMW touring cars in Tom W"&"alkinshaw's team, and Formula 3, culminating in a frustrating career in Formula 1, but then greater success with Jaguar in the World Sportscar Championship. Of his eight races at Le Mans, from 1987 onwards, he always
