More than 60 years later, a fire almost completely destroyed the distillery. After the reconstruction, Fettercairn experienced a few changes of ownership and now belongs to an Indian industrialist who places the distillery's single malts in the luxury segment. Fettercairn 12 years matured the entire time in ex bourbon casks.
