Seiko Solar 557 – Rechteckige Handaufzugsuhr in 20-Mikron-Vergoldung (September 1959) GMT leak testingElegant Seiko Solar ladies' wristwatch with classic rectangular case and fine gold colored indices. The Model 557 dates from the late 1950s to the early 1960s and belongs to the early Seiko Solar series, which was known for its slim design and precise hand wound movements. The case is coated with a high quality 20 micron gold plating (EGP 20 microns) , which indicates a significantly more durable gold layer than the later common 10 micron cases.
